Testing ideas; album covers

After seeing Lydia's post on doing similar album covers I decided it would be very helpful with my research to do the same. I chose 5 album covers to copy to give me a sense on how to do it effectively. Again I will be using the image of me that I used in my previous post as I haven't taken any images, yet I know I want to take a similar one for my cover.
The first one I attempted to replicate was Jamie T's Kings & Queens.

Although my attempt isn't an exact copy it is clear where I got the inspiration from. 


I will complete more copies.
